What classes will you open for the 2023/2024 school year?
We will be opening Senior Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, and 3.
Where is Tamim Academy of YR located?
We are currently located at Chabad Romano (10500 Bathurst Street), and for the coming year we will rent classrooms out of the Schwartz-Reisman JCC (9600 Bathurst Street), with its beautiful state of the art facilities.
What are your school hours?
School begins at 8:45 am and ends at 3:45 pm.
Is there Before and After Care?
Yes! We will have before care from 8 – 8:45 am ($500 for the year) and after care from 3:45 – 5:30 pm ($1500 for the year).
Will you serve hot lunches?
Yes, there will be the option for parents to purchase hot lunches and snacks for their child. This is in addition to the tuition fees.
Do you have a uniform?
Tamim Academy of YR has a uniform, composed of the colours blue and white. Uniforms should be personalized with the Tamim logo, which can be done through iron on or through purchasing the uniform through Lands End. Boys should wear a Kippa and Tzitzit everyday and girls should wear skirts. Tamim Academy also sells cotton shirts with the Tamim logo for $10/shirt.
What are your class ratios?
In every class of 12 – 16 children, we have 1 teacher and 1 assistant.
Who does your school community consist of?
We view ourselves as a community school and we will accept every Jewish child, no matter their level of religiosity or affiliation.
